Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)
The Ministry of Education, Government of India, has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi.
CTET is mandatory for those who want to become teachers in:
- KVS / DSSSB
- PRT or TGT Teachers
- Navodaya Vidyalaya & Army Schools (for TGT Teachers)
Due to increasing competition, CTET coaching can be very helpful for aspirants.
PGT Teachers
If you want to become a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), you must have:
- A post-graduation degree
- B.Ed degree
Note: CTET is not required to become a PGT teacher.
CTET Pattern & Minimum Educational Qualification
Paper I (Classes I – V)
- Two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Paper II (Classes VI – VIII)
- Graduation + Two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed
